Una ensanche de lujo de la ciudad de Playa del Carmen, este sitio ofrece tanto alojamiento, playas (algunas invadidas pero el mar pronto las recuperará), unas vistas magníficas y hasta una zona arqueológica, además de todos los servicios de lujo (campo de golf y hoteles). Algunos club de playa ofrecen day pass o si no, puedes llevar tu sombrilla y una hielera para pasar la tarde. De vital importancia no dejar basura en ningún sitio.

Playacar the area as a neighborhood is fantastic! It has a good mix of expats, locals and tourists with walking access to the beach and 5th Avenue. Prices are a bit higher in this area due to the tourist but the local restaurant are all amazing! Highly recommend!

Guarded Community, nice walks through the community and a oxxo is inside. The guards were really nice!

This gated gem of a community has it all! -Amazing beaches, local shops and restaurants, while being able to walk into town. Best of all - the people here are the friendliest I’ve ever come across. Also very dog and kid friendly!! The condo complexes have great amenities. Playacar is a relaxing haven away from the busy town and makes for wonderful suburban style living so close to town.

Playacar es un lugar verdaderamente espectacular. Cada vez que entro me recuerda por qué esta zona es tan especial: estás rodeado de selva, con una tranquilidad increíble, y al mismo tiempo tienes acceso a una de las playas más bonitas de Playa del Carmen. El mar es de un azul impresionante, la playa es amplia, con un playón perfecto y casi sin oleaje, ideal para caminar, relajarte y disfrutar. Dentro del residencial encuentras hoteles, restaurantes y todos los servicios, por lo que prácticamente no necesitas salir. Es un equilibrio perfecto entre naturaleza, comodidad y calidad de vida. We are Palace Resort members. Have been for about 5 years. We have been to a couple of Palace Resorts multiple times, but Playacar is my families favorite. The service is great. Food is wonderful. The hospitality is awsome. The resort itself needs some updates and rumor has it that they are coming. The only drawback to the Riviera Mia region is the "sea weed". Its a seasonal thing you just deal with. So time at the beach isn't always as you would have hoped. It's almost impossible to swim and there is an odor. Playacar Palace and Playa del Carmen is more laid back than the hotel zone in Cancun. One of our favorite things to do is go off-resort to 5th Avenue. We have never had any issues or felt unsafe. Tons of small shops and many other Department stores Americans are familiar with. Fair warning: you will be approached by small-time vendors wanting you to come into their shop or buy their products. We simply ignore them and keep walking. Our last visit was May/June of 2022. The weather was terrible (earliest typical storm in recorded Mexican history - I believe?) Still made the best of it and had a great time. If you are considering Mexico for a vacation, but have reservations because of media-hyped violence, we have never had an issue during any part of our several trips. I highly recommend Mexico as a vacation destination.
